CONCLUSION

A theory for maximizing bone volume around implant fixtures has been presented. Prior to implant placement, the use of proper and current diagnostic tools is advised. The treatment planning phase should include a complete and full understanding of the existing anatomy, the final tooth position and how it will relate to any potential implant site in terms of the necessary volume of bone support to ensure long-term success of the ultimate prosthetic reconstruction. Further study and research will be required to substantiate the triangle of bone concept.
